I've always loved to read... ever since I can remember, books have always been my "comfort zone." I am blessed to have parents who nurtured this interest and supplied me with many books to read. I remember that many of the books I had when I was young were not brand new books. They were books from garage sales, family friends and bargain sales. I distinctly recall favoring second-hand books as much as brand new books, as I staunchly believe that books are "richer" when they have been read a few times over. To this day, I delight in scouring the shelves of Booksale or the P.O. Books of National Bookstore. A great book at a bargain price is always the best deal!
I decided to start this blog so I can share about books that I have enjoyed through the years. Books I've discovered, books that were highly recommended, books my students have shared with me, books that I love to read over and over and books I absolutely hate. (Though this last category is definitely few in number!)
And so, welcome to you, Reader! Enjoy your time at "TG's Bookshelf!"
